Job Summary:
The Industrial Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and revenue growth within the industrial sector by developing and managing a portfolio of clients, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role requires a deep understanding of industrial products, market trends, and the ability to forge strong relationships with key decision-makers in industries such as manufacturing, construction, automotive, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
- Identify new market opportunities, potential clients, and industries for business growth.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities.
- Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Prospect, identify, and engage with key industrial clients to drive sales.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers.
- Product Knowledge & Technical Expertise:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s industrial products, solutions, and services.
- Provide technical guidance to customers, offering tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Collaborate with the engineering or technical team to address client-specific product requirements or customizations.
- Negotiation & Deal Closure:
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and sales agreements with clients to secure deals.
- Ensure all sales activities align with company policies, including pricing, credit terms, and delivery timelines.
- Close sales deals efficiently while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
- Monitor sales performance and provide accurate sales forecasts to senior management.
- Prepare regular sales reports, including pipeline status, deal progress, and revenue performance.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and make informed recommendations for improvement.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to align sales efforts with company goals.
- Provide market and client feedback to product development teams for potential improvements or new product offerings.
- After-sales Support:
- Ensure seamless handover of clients to customer service and support teams post-sale.
- Address any post-sale concerns or issues, maintaining client satisfaction and retention.
- Team Leadership (if applicable):
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve collective sales targets.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and performance reviews to ensure team growth and success.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Sales, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in industrial sales or a related field, with proven success in managing client relationships and achieving sales targets.
- Skills:
- Strong technical understanding of industrial products and solutions.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify sales trends and opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred:

Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based with regular travel to client sites and industry events.
- May require occasional travel to other regions or international locations for client meetings or business expansion.
